Jahangir Wins the Dunlop Shield in a Nail biter.
The sixth week of the Ooty Golfing season witnessed one of the most breath taking finishes of this golfing season.
The Dunlop Shield played as a warm up match before the South India Open, to be played next week over four rounds, saw Maheswaran fritter away his seven shot lead to Jahangir. On day one Maheswaran shot a one over 71 to establish a seven shot lead.
On day two, the glorious uncertainties of golf took over as Maheswaran lost ground rapidly against a steady Jahangir. Maheswaran sealed his fate when he pulled his drive to the left bushes in the par 5, 16th hole and lost 2 shots. Both players finished with an identical 152 and Jahangir was declared the winner on the basis of a better second round.
